How can coding Beebot floor robots help students explore position and learn to code.

Robotics are super fun for kids are give them an opportunity to explor Geometry and we exploring position in Maths. A simple yet effective idea is using robotics to focus on grid references and directional language. BeeBots are simple to use and allow your students the opportunity to practice basic coding and moving robots to particular grid references on the grid. Students can take turns using directional language and pressing the directional arrows on the Beebot to move the move to a particular place on the grid. This activity is so simple and appropriately effective for Kindergarten and even preschool children.

An extension of this activity could be to encourage students to move their robot around obstacles on the grid.
